Design: Exterior and Interior
The new 2024 Chevy Traverse has a stylish and rugged style. A prominent grille takes up most of the front end. The size and shape of the grille vary depending on the trim level. The LED headlights are split into two groups, with the main lights below the daytime running lights. The L-shaped LED headlights on the back are similar to the ones on the front. Powertrain
It’s a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four makes 315 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The 2024 Chevy Traverse has a new engine. The old machine was a 3.6-liter V6, making 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. This engine takes its place. This new engine is paired with an automatic transmission with nine speeds. The power can go to the front or all four wheels, depending on the trim and choice.
Chevy says the new engine is more powerful and efficient than the old one. The EPA estimates that the 2024 Traverse will get 23 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive vehicles and 22 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive models.
A particular all-wheel-drive system with a twin-clutch rear differential is built into the new Z71 trim. This system can split power between the back wheels to improve handling and grip. If you want the best performance when pulling or hauling, the Z71 has a tow/haul mode that changes the transmission shift points and suspension damping.
If you choose the LT, Z71, or RS trim, the 2024 Traverse can pull up to 5,000 pounds when loaded with the trailering package. A wire harness, a heavy-duty cooling system, and a trailer sway control system are all in the box.
Release Date and Price
The Chevy Traverse 2024 should go on sale early in 2024. The official price hasn’t been released yet, but the base LS trim will cost around $35,000, and the top RS trim will cost approximately $55,000. The new Z71 trim may cost somewhere between the LT and RS trims.
